As founder and Executive Director of the ENGAGE® International Investment Education Symposium, David Kudla commandeered an impressive line-up of speakers and special guests as participants in ENGAGE 2015, including CEOs, presidents, CIOs, and economists from some of the most prominent firms in the industry. Attracting over 1,500 registrants to the Cobo Center in Detroit, Michigan, ENGAGE 2015 drew in students from across the United States, Canada, and Europe. The event provided an interactive opportunity to blend theory with practice as many of the leading investment professionals in the financial industry shared their views on the economy and financial markets. Each panel concluded with thought provoking questions from the students in the audience.
One of the many highlights included Dennis Lockhart, Federal Reserve Bank President and 2015 FOMC voting member, delivering the insightful Federal Reserve Perspective. Throughout the day, ENGAGE panelists shared their outlooks and perspectives on the economy, financial industry, and global markets. Breakout sessions, student competitions and career panels provided valuable knowledge and skills to the next generation of financial professionals.
ENGAGE partnered with CNBC as the "Official Broadcaster" for the symposium. On Thursday, March 26th, CNBC's Senior Economics Reporter, Steve Liesman conducted live interviews throughout the day, as well as interactive Q&A sessions between ENGAGE participants and panelists. On Friday, March 27th, many students had the opportunity to appear on television as CNBC's Scott Wapner hosted CNBC Trade School—a special edition of "Fast Money Halftime Report"—live from the conference atrium.
